The Distant South and Georgia Rodgers are teaming up to deliver an incredible night of unique, soulful music at the Woodlands Hotel on Friday the 1st of August.

The Distant South are an Alt Country band based in Melbourne Australia. Their songs make you wonder if you’ve been whispering to them in your sleep. Confessional, authentic and immediately relatable, The Distant South throw the sounds of Country, Folk, Blues and Soul into the fiery pit of angst and heartache to deliver captivating performances of melancholic….yet somehow uplifting songs. With 2 EP’s and a full length album under their belt, in 2025 The Distant South are busy in the studio recording their second Album.
Georgia Rodgers is making her way up in the music industry as a young queer female artist from Naarm/Melbourne.
Her soulful compositions form a unique style to her set and brings a fresh new and tone to blues and soul. Georgia is known for capturing audiences through her raw husky vocals paired with the sounds of the timeless telecaster tones.
