Resonate Fest: Anna Scionti

The Woodlands have teamed up with the legendary Blues Roulette to present an evening with Melbourne-based singer-songwriter, guitarist and bottleneck slide player, Anna Scionti.

The music Scionti makes is her own style steeped in blues, roots and rock. While absorbing influences from her favourite inspirational artists, Scionti walks her own creative path. Driving guitars and honey-soaked, gravel-infused vocals draw you deep in to her world of emotionally charged, electrified rhythmic tunes. Scionti’s 2019 release ‘Orphan Diary’ was a nominee for ‘Best Blues Album’ at the 2019 Music Victoria Awards.

While based on the long standing traditions of blues jams, Blues Roulette puts a unique spin on those traditions by placing Australia’s best known blues artists on the spot in front of the Roulette rhythm section to create a one time only performance based in the moment.

The Blues Roulette rhythm section of Ben Wicks, Johnny Tesoriero & Jesse Valach round out the evening.
